Ingredients

⅔ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup water, 1 pinch salt, 2 cups fresh figs, stemmed and quartered, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

Instructions

Combine brown sugar, water, salt, and figs in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir for approximately 10 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the figs become soft. Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes. Arrange the cream cheese on a serving platter and pour the fig mixture over the top.
