Apple Crisp - Perfect and Easy
Ingredients
2 ½ cups apples - peeled, cored, and sliced, 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour, 1 cup white sugar, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ cup butter, softened
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish. Lay the apple slices evenly across the bottom of the pan. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Work the butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or two knives until the texture is crumbly, then scatter it over the apples. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown. Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving.
