Fresh Cherry Crisp
Ingredients
4 cups pitted sour cherries, 1 ½ cups white sugar, 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup old-fashioned oats, 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup butter, ½ cup shortening
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a large bowl, mix the cherries with 1 1/2 cups of white sugar and 4 tablespoons of flour, then transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Using a medium bowl, stir together 1 1/2 cups of flour, oats, and brown sugar, cutting in the butter and shortening until the mixture is crumbly. Spread the topping over the cherries and bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.
