Best Peach Cobbler Ever
Ingredients
1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches, 2 tablespoons butter, melted, 1 pinch ground cinnamon, 1 pinch ground nutmeg, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, ½ cup water, 1 cup milk, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 pinch salt, ½ cup butter, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
Set oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In one bowl, mix sliced peaches and juice with 2 tablespoons of melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. In a second bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt until smooth. Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer the batter over the butter, then spoon the peach mixture on top and add a sprinkle of spices. Bake for 1 hour or until a knife comes out clean.
