Ingredients

1 ½ cups canned sweetened mango pulp, 1 cup white sugar, ½ cup margarine, 2 medium eggs, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 tablespoons whole almonds, or as desired (Optional)

Instructions

Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and greasing a 9x13-inch baking dish. In a bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat the mango pulp, sugar, margarine, and eggs for 3 to 5 minutes until well mixed. Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda together, then stir the mango mixture into the dry ingredients until the batter is just combined. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 15 minutes. Gently press almonds into the batter and continue baking for about 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
