Peaches and Cream, Literally
Ingredients
4 fresh peaches, or as needed, ⅓ cup white sugar, or to taste, ¼ cup water, 1 ½ cups heavy cream
Instructions
Halve, pit, peel, and slice peaches to yield 2 cups. Boil sugar and water in a saucepan for 3 minutes to create syrup, then stir in the peaches and simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and use a slotted spoon to transfer the peaches to a bowl. Mix in heavy cream, divide into serving glasses, and refrigerate covered for at least 3 hours until chilled and the cream is infused with flavor.
