Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter, melted, 1 cup self-rising flour, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup milk, 2 (16 ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine self-rising flour, sugar, and milk in a bowl, mixing until smooth and free of lumps. Add melted butter to a 9- or 10-inch cast iron skillet, then pour the flour mixture over it. Carefully add the peaches and syrup, using a spatula to distribute the fruit evenly. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Allow the dish to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
