Ingredients

1 head garlic, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 ⅓ cups dark brown sugar, 1 cup pineapple juice, ⅔ cup water, ¼ cup teriyaki sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 3 tablespoons lemon juice, 3 tablespoons minced white onion, 1 tablespoon bourbon whiskey, 1 tablespoon crushed pineapple, ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and roast a head of garlic for 1 hour until soft. In a saucepan, boil and then simmer brown sugar, juices, water, and sauces. Whisk in 2 teaspoons of the roasted garlic paste. Add lemon juice, onion, bourbon, pineapple, and cayenne, then simmer for 40 to 50 minutes until the sauce reduces by half and thickens.
