Easy Banana Brownies
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, ⅔ cup semisweet chocolate chips, 1 large egg, ⅔ cup packed light brown sugar, 1 small ripe banana, mashed, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¾ cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and grease an 8-inch square pan. Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in chocolate chips until melted, and let cool for 5 minutes. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, brown sugar, mashed banana, vanilla, and salt. Combine the chocolate mixture with the banana mixture, then fold in the flour until just combined. Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 30 minutes until the edges pull away from the sides. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into 16 squares.
