Ingredients

1 cup warm water, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature, 3 cups bread flour, ΒΌ cup white sugar, 3 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Instructions

Place warm water, salt, egg, butter, flour, sugar, and yeast in a bread machine and run the dough cycle. Prepare the filling by simmering prunes, juice, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and lime juice for 15 minutes, then blend until smooth. Divide the finished dough into 20 pieces, shape into balls, and create a shallow well in the center of each. Fill with the prune mixture and top with a streusel made from sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon. Let rest until doubled in size, then bake at 350 degrees F for 14 to 16 minutes until lightly browned.
