Pear Pie III
Ingredients
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust, 2 pears - peeled, cored and cut in half, 1 cup white sugar, ¼ cup butter, ¼ cup all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 2 eggs, beaten
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and press the pie pastry into a 9-inch pie plate, fluting the edges. Arrange pear halves cut-side down in the crust with the narrow ends pointing toward the center. Cream the butter and sugar in a medium bowl until smooth, then beat in the eggs one by one until light and fluffy. Mix in the flour and vanilla before pouring the mixture over the pears. Bake for 1 hour until the pears are tender and the custard is set, then allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.
